At Sprague’s GSD, your dog stays in a quiet, home-based kennel designed for comfort, routine, and safety — not a chaotic warehouse full of barking.
Every dog gets individual attention, multiple potty breaks, covered outdoor play yards, and the same structure I’ve used for years with my own dogs and litters.
Your dog won’t get lost in the crowd — they’ll be treated like family.
We now offer small-scale, owner-operated dog boarding in Sandy Run, SC.
If you’re looking for a quiet, personalized alternative to crowded commercial kennels, this is it. Your dog stays in a climate-controlled indoor space, rotates outside to our covered play/potty yards, and is cared for by someone experienced with breeding, training, and dog behavior — not rotating staff.
⭐️ Our Boarding Rates
Standard Boarding: $35/night
Large Breeds (80+ lbs): $40/night
Holiday Rate: +$10/night (Thanksgiving, Christmas, July 4th, etc.)
Add-Ons:
Bath before pick-up: $15–$20
Nail trim: $10
Medication administration: $5/day
Stay & Train Upgrade: $20/day (light obedience, leash manners, crate manners)

5×5 indoor kennel
Kuranda raised bed in every kennel (clean, orthopedic, and chew-resistant)
Climate-controlled environment
3–4 structured potty rotations daily
Two covered outdoor yards (shade + rain protection)
Individual attention and low stress handling
Quiet, small-number boarding environment
Calm, low-volume environment (we only take a limited number of dogs)
Fresh water at all times
Owner on-site and monitoring throughout the day
We keep numbers small on purpose so we can give each dog real attention and keep stress low.

Dogs rotate outside to two large covered outdoor play/potty areas — perfect for South Carolina heat and rain.

📋 Requirements
For everyone’s safety:
Rabies (required)
Distemper/Parvo (DHPP)
Bordetella (kennel cough)
Flea & tick prevention
No females in heat
Puppies welcome after completing their third round of vaccines.

Daily by appointment only
This keeps the kennel calm and predictable for all dogs.

8am–10am
4pm–6pm
